I have to be careful not to criticise the botanists too severely, as one of my younger brothers is in charge of the Royal Botanical Gardens in Edinburgh. But I wish they would leave cacti named the same way for a while... more…
You are so right. Parodia is the latest creation by those who now organise these new labels. The genus is made up of Eriocactus, Malacocarpus and Notocactus. They do produce lovely flowers. more…
