The New York Botanical garden is a surprise, especially as it is located in the Bronx. You do not expect to see a green oasis in the middle of the borough. It is collection of mature trees, temperate exotics and a large conservatory. It is definitely worth a visit. Take the little train tour which allow stops, and you will still have time for relaxation.
